Job summary

The National Autistic Society is seeking Bank Support Workers at Stonepit Close in Godalming, Surrey. You will support autistic adults by following individual care plans and daily routines, with shifts that include evenings and weekends.

We welcome compassionate applicants with a positive attitude; autistic experience is helpful but not required. A driving licence is preferred and DBS checks are standard practice.

About the Service

Stonepit Close is a residential service in Godalming, Surrey, for autistic adults. We designed the two houses here specifically for autistic people and our staff are highly trained so Stonepit Close is an ideal environment in which to thrive and develop independence.

About the Role

We are looking for caring and reliable Bank Support Workers. Your role is to help people live their best lives by following their support plans and daily routines.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, eating)
• Encourage activities they enjoy (swimming, hiking, arts & crafts)
• Support life skills& independence(budgeting, shopping, meal preparation)

What We’re Looking For

• For you to inspire others with a positive attitude towards supporting vulnerable people
• Experience with autistic people is helpful but not essential
• Personal experience or a passion for helping others is welcome

As you are a bank worker, you will be able to pick and choose the shifts that you work, and services have a mixture of hours that can include evenings and weekends.

Possession of a driving licence (minimum one year) is preferred.
