Job summary

iBC Healthcare in Droylsden seeks a dedicated part-time Support Worker to provide one-to-one care for an adult with learning disabilities at home and in the community. You’ll cover days or nights (16-28h/wk days; 20h/wk nights) following an individualised plan and PBS to build routines, independence and wellbeing.

We offer induction, PBS training, health diplomas, discounts and progression opportunities in a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities or autism.
• Understanding of PBS and trauma-informed practice.
• Strong de-escalation and observation skills.
• Calm, patient, non-reactive approach under pressure.
• Commitment to consistency, boundaries and dignity.

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred, therapeutic support aligned to the plan.
• Promote independence and meaningful choices in daily life.
• Assist with personal care while maintaining dignity and respect.
• Support medication administration per policy.
• Assist daily living tasks and community access to build skills.
• Record accurate notes and work with the care team.
