Job summary

Swanton Care & Community Ltd in Bridgend is seeking dedicated Support Workers/Carers to help people we support lead meaningful lives around the clock. You will provide practical assistance and emotional support in line with individual support plans, respecting each person's dignity and choices.

The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, permanent, with no sponsorship. You will join a team committed to our values of Potential, Responsibility, Integrity, Diversity and Empathy, and receive training

Qualifications

• Experience of challenging behaviour and/or learning disabilities is preferred but all training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower people to achieve their goals.
• Promote health, well-being, physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual beliefs in an inclusive way.
• Facilitate social, educational or work activities such as visiting family and friends, walks, shopping and other recreational activities.
• General housekeeping duties including shopping, domestic tasks and personal care.
• Complete a range of records and documents as required.

About The Role

We are looking for Support Workers/Carers who care about making every moment matter for the people we support within our service based in Bridgend.

Whilst fully embracing the company ethos support workers provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone’s individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they want to live.

Support is required 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Are you enthusiastic, compassionate and committed to supporting people in a way which respects their dignity?

You will need to be adaptable and flexible with excellent communication skills and able to work as part of our team.
