Job summary

IBC Healthcare in Leicester (LE5) is seeking a dedicated Support Worker for our Supported Living service. This full-time role involves empowering adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs to live as independently as possible, with person-centred care and community involvement.

You will join a supportive team, receive comprehensive training, and benefit from funded qualifications and progression opportunities. The role pays £12.90 per hour with days and night shifts.

• Role: Mental Health Support Worker
• Pay Rate: £12.90 Per Hour
• Shifts: Days and Nights available
• Full-time only

Duties Include

• To support people with disabilities, including individuals with profound and complex needs, using person-centred approaches to enable people to achieve positive outcomes as defined in their support plan.
• Basic daily duties include medication administration, cooking, cleaning, and paperwork.
• To Provide emotional and practical support.
• To support the people in our care to access community facilities and be included in community groups.
• To build a robust relationship with the people in our care to promote independence and improve quality of life.
• To Empower the people in our care to learn new skills or pursue hobbies and interests.

About You

• Experience within the care industry, ICs or equivalent essential
• Previous experience Supporting people with Mental Health Conditions, Complex Care needs and Challenging Behaviours.
• Good time management, organization, attention to detail and flexibility.
• A positive ‘can do’ attitude.
• Good Communication Skills.
• You must have a compassionate, caring, positive personality.
• Possess a genuine passion for making a real difference in people’s lives.
• Able to manage challenging behaviour and conflict.
• Works well as part of a team as well as individually.
