Active Care Group is seeking a Sleep In / Waking Night Support Worker for a 15-year-old with cerebral palsy in Aberdare. The role involves night support, personal care in the evenings and mornings, and assisting with daily activities at home and in the community.
Shifts include sleep-in nights and active duty hours, with full-time or part-time options. A recognised health and social care qualification is desirable, as is IT literacy and a driving licence. DBS clearance is required.
Full Time/Part Time Available
We are looking for a Support Worker required to work with a delightful young girl aged 15 years with cerebral palsy, in Aberdare. The role will be based at the client’s home and will involve supporting night staff with care at night and providing personal care in the evenings and mornings. This is an amazing opportunity to develop a skill set. Previous support staff have gone on to gain a nursing qualification. The Client likes spending time with family, watching TV, playing with her noisy toys, going to school, youth club and Sunday school. She loves going on days out with the family, going on rides, and enjoys horse-riding, swimming, colouring, drawing, and playing board games.
Shifts consist of 9 hours sleep-in night rates (at the national living wage) and 3 hours of active duty – a total of 12 hours at the applicable hourly rate. Full-time, part-time and bank hours are available to cover the following: up to 144 hours over a 4-week period on a flexible basis. Positions include day/waking nights and/or sleep-in night shifts Monday – Sunday 9.30 pm – 09.30 am.
Salary: £16.00 per hour weekday day & waking night rate; £18.00 per hour weekend day & waking night rate; £12.71 per hour, current national living wage for sleep-in shifts.
