Job summary

Liaise in Worthing is recruiting Bank Support Workers and Care Assistants who share our Positive, Progressive and Personal values. Full training and support will be provided, with bank team hours available for both day and night shifts.

You will help residents with daily tasks, accompany them on social visits and outings, and keep paperwork up to date. You’ll work closely with families and external organisations to provide person-centred care.

Qualifications

• No formal care experience required, but a basic understanding is beneficial.
• Excellent communication with colleagues, clients and families.
• Commitment to safeguarding vulnerable people.
• Good decision-making and organisational skills.
• Ability to complete paperwork accurately with attention to detail.
• Commitment to Health & Safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily tasks for those we support using provided training.
• Provide day-to-day support including social visits and outings.
• Keep home records up to date for each person.

We are looking for caring people to join our fabulous team as a Support Worker or a Care Assistant. Full training and support will be given.

-Bank team hours are available for both day and night shifts

What you will be doing:

• Using the training provided, assist those who we support by helping with daily tasks

• Be there to support in day to day life; such as social visits, family visits and also days out to some great, local attractions

• Keeping paperwork up to date to ensure everything is captured for each person who lives in the home

• Working positively with colleagues, families and external organisations to assist in supporting those who live in the home.

What we would like you to have to be able to do it:

• A basic understanding of care is beneficial, but no formal experience is required.

• Strong communication skills

• Takes pride in working with vulnerable people and takes safeguarding responsibilities seriously

• Effective decision making and judgement

• Strong planning and organisation skills

• Achieves all Health & Safety standards
