The role of this Personal Care Assistant
Our personal care assistants join our client’s support team, providing reliable, essential care and support in their home. You will be employed by HomeCareDirect on behalf of the client and your focus will be to support them only. We have 2 roles available for our client as follows:
Post 1: Monday to Friday - 36 hours per week - shifts between 08:00 - 20:00 - £16.15 per hour
Post 2: Waking Nights - 36 hours per week on the following set shifts: Thursday - £16.15 per hour, Saturday and Sunday 20:00 - 08:00 - £19.23 per hour
About the Client and Duties
We are looking for exceptional, dedicated, skilled personal care assistants to join our clients existing care team. Our client has complex care needs and lives in his own home with his wife, who is his main carer.
As a member of the caring team, you'll be responsible for a wide range of tasks that can vary day to day, so an amount of flexibility is required. Some of the main duties include:
Ideally, you would also have previous experience with Status Epilepticus and practical experience of giving Buccal Midazolam and be able to identify and understand a medical emergency. It is our client's preference to have non-smokers and you must be ok working with cats in the family home.

All training must be completed before the start date, with training hours paid at minimum wage.
