Job summary

Transforming Support is hiring a Support Worker in Liverpool (L2) to help adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges live independently. You will provide daily living support and build meaningful community connections, with shifts day and night and a permanent, full-time role.

The role emphasizes patient, compassionate care, adherence to safety standards, and working both independently and as part of a team.

  • Support individuals in developing life skills and achieving personal goals; administer medication and maintain records per health and safety rules.
  • Advocate for rights, promoting choice, dignity and respect.
  • Respond to emergencies or challenging situations with professionalism and care.

  • Full-time - 38.5 hours per week (day and night shifts available)
  • Permanent position
  • £14 per hour (£28,028 per annum) + discretionary yearly bonus up to £1,000

The Role

As an Independent Living Support Worker, you'll play a key role in helping individuals maintain independence, develop life skills, and build meaningful connections within their communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide person-centred support in daily living activities, such as cooking, cleaning, and managing finances
  • Assist individuals in accessing community services, activities, and employment opportunities
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with the people you support and their families
  • Support individuals in developing life skills and achieving personal goalsAdminister medication and maintain accurate records, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Advocate for individuals' rights, promoting choice, dignity, and respect
  • Respond to emergencies or challenging situations with professionalism and care
