Job summary

Voyage Care in Welshpool seeks caring Support Workers to help people gain independence and improve daily living. You will work in a supportive team to provide personal care, companionship, and help with accessing communities and activities.

Typical shifts include mornings and afternoons, with a focus on flexible coverage. A driving license is preferred, and Welsh language skills are advantageous. Rewarding role with opportunities for development within Voyage Care.

Qualifications

Support Worker – Welshpool - £13.45 ph

Typical Shifts are: Mornings 08:00-15:00 & Afternoons 15:00-22:00 (nights and sleeps ins to be covered when needed)

We’re on the hunt for genuinely caring, hands‑on Support Workers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support. As a support worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people!

Our supported living service in Welshpool is a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! You’ll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. One day you could be out with the people we support in local bars and pubs, the next you could be unwinding with them playing video games, watching films or going to the cinema.

This is an amazing role for someone who is looking to really make a difference to someone's life and to help them grow in confidence and independence so that they meet their goals, whether this be making dinner by themselves or going on holiday.

Fluent Welsh speaking Desirable (advantageous but not required).
