Job summary

Inspire is seeking a dedicated Support Worker for its Children's Residential Care home. You will help with daily routines, personal care, and school prep, while fostering a warm, supportive environment for children aged 3-18 with learning disabilities.

Full training is provided; a manual driving licence is required and vehicles are supplied. The role includes weekend shifts and opportunities for progression within a welcoming team.

  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Support young people with daily routines and personal care.

  • Keep basic records and participate in digital recording systems as required.
  • Create a warm, homely environment and assist with light housekeeping.

Work Patterns: You will work rewarding long day shifts including early starts, late evenings and weekends fairly planned within the rotas. Based in our welcoming home in Leek, you'll support children and young people (ages 3-18) with learning disabilities to feel safe, valued and inspired. From helping with daily routines to sharing laughs over games or cheering on small milestones, you'll be making a lasting difference. Some days will be challenging, but every smile and breakthrough makes it worthwhile.

What You'll Do

As a Support Worker you will support young people with their daily routines; Personal Care, getting them ready for school, prepping for meal times and planning activities through to bed time. You will also: Create a warm, homely environment by helping with light housekeeping.

  • Build strong, meaningful relationships and provide emotional support.
  • Plan and join fun activities like trips to the park, popcorn & movie nights or creative projects.
  • Keep essential records for high-quality care
  • New staff must be comfortable using an electronic care recording system on a daily basis to document, monitor, and update children and young people's records accurately. Experience with Clearcare is an advantage, but not essential, as full training will be provided. However, all staff are expected to confidently use digital systems as part of their day-to-day role.
