About the Role
We are looking for compassionate, resilient and dedicated Residential Childcare Support Workers to support children and young people aged 8-18 across our residential services.
You will provide high-quality, person-centred care within a safe, nurturing and supportive environment. The services support young people with a range of needs, including learning disabilities, autism/ASD and complex support needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding, person-centred care based on individual needs.
- Safeguard and promote the safety, welfare and wellbeing of young people.
- Build positive, trusting relationships and act as a positive role model.
- Create a safe, secure and nurturing home environment.
- Support young people through emotionally difficult and challenging situations.
- Support young people to achieve their goals, aspirations and independence.
- Advocate for young people and ensure their voices are heard.
- Act as a Key Worker, contributing to and updating Placement Care Plans.
- Work in accordance with safeguarding requirements, legislation, policies and professional standards.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and other professionals to provide consistent care.
Training and Development
- One week of training and induction shifts provided.
- Full restraint/physical intervention training provided.
- Must be willing to complete a Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification.
- Ongoing opportunities for professional development and training.
The Services
- Children's Residential Home: Supporting children and young people aged 8-15, including those with learning disabilities, autism/ASD and other complex needs.
- 16-18 Service: Supporting young people aged 16-18, helping them develop independence, life skills and prepare for their next steps.
Shift Patterns
- 12-hour day shifts: 8am-8pm
- 12-hour night shifts: 8pm-8am
- Sleep-in shifts
- Full-time and part-time opportunities available

Essential Requirements
- Must be aged 22 or over.
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
- NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care preferred.
- Willingness to complete restraint/physical intervention training and Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification.
