Job summary

Voyage Care in Tonbridge is seeking a dedicated Day Support Worker to help adults gain more independence in daily life within our ABI day centre. You will work with a supportive team to assist with personal care, social activities, and community access, making a real difference to the lives of the people we support.

No prior experience is required for some roles; a genuine caring attitude and willingness to learn are key.

Qualifications

  • Must be caring and able to support adults with ABI within a day centre.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a hands-on environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with personal care and daily living activities to promote independence.
  • Support people to access local communities and social activities.
  • Encourage participation in meaningful activities and outings.
  • Work as part of a dynamic team to deliver person-centred support.
  • Engage in activities such as games, cinema visits, pubs or community events when appropriate.

Day Support Worker –Tonbridge-£13.47ph - Full time

Typical Shifts are: Weekday and Weekends

As a support worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people!

Our residential service ABI (Acquired Brain Injury) service / day centre in Tonbridge is a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! You’ll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. One day you could be out with the people we support in local bars and pubs, the next you could be unwinding with them playing video games, watching films or going to the cinema.

This is an amazing role for someone who is looking to really make a difference to someone's life and to help them grow in confidence and independence so that they meet their goals, whether this be making dinner by themselves or going on holiday.
