Community Integrated Care is one of the UK’s largest health and social care charities. We transform lives by delivering high-quality, person-centred support that fosters independence and empowerment.

Our charity was founded in 1988 and we were one of the pioneers of the ‘Care in the Community’ agenda, enabling people to move out of long-stay institutions and live more fulfilling lives.

Since then, we’ve remained leaders in social care, providing bespoke support to thousands across the UK. Today, we support more than 2,600 people and employ 6,600 caring and committed colleagues across England and Scotland.

We have a proud history of breaking boundaries and are always looking for new ways to make a positive difference through bold ideas, innovative projects and impactful partnerships.

Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:

The people we support all live within their own flats at Glendale House. There are 22 flats of different sizes, and we support people from age 19 to 70 with an array of different support needs.

Each person receives support to live as independently as possible, which can include supporting with cooking, budgeting, shopping, personal care, medication and cleaning, as well as supporting people to achieve their everyday goals.

We have a lovely staff team at Glendale, some of whom have worked here for as long as the service has been open. They are all knowledgeable about care and support and receive regular training to ensure they have exactly the right skills. Training includes mental health awareness, suicide awareness, safeguarding, administration of medication, epilepsy awareness and lots more!

We usually have around 3-5 staff on at Glendale, however this reduces to 1 member at night as no one has 1-1 support during the night, but it’s nice to have someone there if we need them.

We have different shifts, dayshifts are – 8am – 10pm, 10am – 5pm, 1pm- 9pm and night shift10pm – 8 am. However, these can at times change as our staff are flexible around us so that we can enjoy the things we like to such as going to the theatre or cinema.

We are currently recruiting for a 35-hour permanent role
