Job summary

Cartrefi Cymru Co-operative in Swansea is seeking a Female Support Worker to help people with learning disabilities live fulfilled lives in the community. You’ll empower individuals to make choices and participate in activities that foster independence.

No prior experience is required as full training is provided. A driving licence and access to your own car are preferred for transporting people to appointments and activities; sleep-ins are paid separately and travel is reimbursed.

As a Female Support Worker in Swansea, you’ll help make the everyday remarkable for the people we support.

We are dedicated to supporting those with learning disabilities to live a fulfilled and enriched life in the community, as a Support Worker, you can play a vital role in this.

We have both part time and full time hours, please speak to us about the hours you are looking to do. Your shift pattern will include weekends and sleep-ins.

Salary

£13.59 per hour and our sleep-in shifts at £60 per night and our travel expenses is paid 55p per mile

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you’ll actively support individuals in making their own choices and set their own goals - whether it’s everyday decisions like what to wear, eat, or do, or something bigger such as where to live, how to manage their finances, or where to go on holiday.

As a trusted Support Worker, you'll empower people to follow through on these choices, including taking part in structured activities that build confidence and develop new skills. You’ll also offer practical support to help them meet responsibilities like paying bills, maintaining their homes, being good neighbours, and staying connected with friends and family.

Your goal is to makeeveryday remarkablethrough enhancing well-being and focusing on the small, meaningful moments that bring joy and purpose. By offering this kind of person-centred support every day, this truly is a fun and rewarding role for the right person.
