Cartrefi Cymru Co-operative in Fairbourne is seeking a Support Worker to help people lead fulfilled lives in the community. You will support daily choices, attend activities and promote independence in a friendly village setting.
We offer full-time and part-time hours with weekend and sleep-in shifts; training is provided. A full driving licence and own car are essential for transport to activities and appointments.

We have both part time and full time hours, please speak to us about the hours you are looking to do. Your shift pattern will include weekends and sleep-ins
£13.59 per hour and our sleep-in shifts at £60 per night and our travel expenses is paid 55p per mile

As a Support Worker, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference to someone’s life — supporting them to make their own choices, achieve their goals and enjoy everyday life to the fullest. From choosing what to wear, what to eat or how to spend their day, to bigger decisions such as managing their finances, deciding where to live or planning a holiday, you’ll be there to provide encouragement, support and reassurance while helping people live life on their own terms.
You’ll also support individuals to get involved in activities that build confidence, learn new skills and discover new interests. This could be anything from helping around the home and paying bills, to getting out into the local community, keeping in touch with friends and family, or simply enjoying a cup of tea and a good chat.
Living and working in a close-knit village community, you’ll have the chance to build genuine relationships and become someone people know and trust. It’s often the little things — a friendly conversation, a walk to the local shop, trying something new or helping someone achieve something they didn’t think they could — that make the biggest difference.
