About The Role

Support Worker – Swansea – Full and part time hours available - £12.60 to £12.80 per hour dependent on qualifications and experience

Role Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and support to individuals with autism, helping them to lead active, socially valued, and fulfilling lives. You will work closely with each individual, tailoring support to their unique needs and aspirations.

About Cartref Mynydd: Located just a few miles from the breathtaking Gower Peninsula, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty known for its sandy beaches, rugged cliffs, and charming coastal villages, Cartref Mynydd offers a picturesque setting. Our supported individuals enjoy exploring the Brecon Beacons to the north and engaging in a variety of activities including hiking, swimming, trampolining, trips to the cinema, and relaxing day trips to the beach.

A day in the life of working at Cartref Mynydd includes:

  • Ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met through a supportive and caring environment.
  • Supporting our people during recreational activities, outings, and community integration.
  • Promoting independence, self-esteem, and confidence in our people, celebrating their achievements and milestones.
  • Working together to ensure support is tailored to meet individual needs.
  • Keeping accurate records of all activities, progress, and incidents should they arise.
  • General housekeeping duties, including meal preparation.

  • Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes.
  • Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including weekends and occasional night shifts.
  • A driving licence is essential.

Please note: This job role involves regulated activity with adults and requires an enhanced DBS with barred list check.
