Further information

If you enjoy supporting children and their families to help them achieve their full potential, then Swansea Council could have just the opportunity for you.

We currently have several new posts for Special Guardianship Support Officers within the Family and Friends Team, Child & Family Services. These are full-time and are for two-year contracts.

You will be part of an innovative and dedicated Fostering and Permanency team focused on providing high-quality support to children and families in need of support.

You will have a specific focus on supporting and reviewing Special Guardianship Support Plans open to the team. The role includes provision of support groups for carers as well as providing support directly to children placed in Permanent placements.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the development of the SGO service in Swansea and to be a valued member of a supportive and dynamic team.

Our staff tell us they love working in the Family and Friends team as it's a real opportunity to engage and support family members to keep children safe within their family unit, ensuring their needs are met.

If you can bring skills, experience, and passion to do this role, we would like to hear from you.
