We are currently recruiting for a Support Worker – Waking Nights to join our team at Essential Care andSupport Limited - Sunderland.

Essential Care and Support is a part of theNational Care Group and is a dedicatedspecialist in providing person centred care across our supported living,outreach and day services. We support some incredible individuals with a rangeof support needs including Mental Health, Dementia, Physical Disabilities andElderly care. The role of a National Care Group Support Worker

You will work with young adults who have complexneeds. We are looking for a respectful and caring individual who canpassionately support our young adults to fulfil their potential. This is asometimes challenging role but one with huge rewards.

  • You will build positive relationships with people by listening, discussing, and then planning goals and ambitions together.
  • You will help to plan their daily tasks and assist with practical activities such as cooking, cleaning and running errands.
  • You will assist with personal care, which may include support with eating and administering medication.
  • You will help to plan and participate in any exciting days out they wish to enjoy.
  • You will make a positive impact on someone's life by supporting them to become more independent wherever possible.

What qualities do you need to be a great supportworker?

  • A caring attitude, with a passion for supporting others and a motivation to see them achieve goals.
  • A team player, able to work effectively with other colleagues.
  • Resilience to keep going at difficult times and the confidence to ask for support if needed.
