Dementia Support Worker - Days

Shift Hours: 22-44 hours per week

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Dementia Support Worker to join our team at Orchard Care Homes, located at Archer Road, Farringdon, Sunderland. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 months experience within a dementia setting and an NVQ Level 2 (or above) in Health and Social Care.

Responsibilities

• Providing person-centered care to residents with dementia
• Supporting residents with daily activities, leisure, and social engagement
• Ensuring residents are treated with dignity and respect
• Supporting residents showing signs of distress
• Participating in tailored dementia training to enhance care skills

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (minimum)
• 6 months experience in a dementia care setting
