About the person you'll be supporting:

They are a friendly and sociable person who enjoys being around familiar people, sensory activities, going for walks, spending time outdoors, and exploring the local area. They thrive on routine and feel safest when supported by people who understand them well. Communication is non-verbal, using body language and sounds, so being observant and taking the time to get to know them is essential. They are happiest when life is predictable and when their support team work together to keep them safe, comfortable, and engaged.

Where you'll be working:

  • Day shifts - 3pm-10pm
  • Waking night shifts - 10pm - 9.30am
  • Shift times can be adjusted based on applicant availability

Please note: This role involves full personal care, meal preparation, and following detailed routines.

What you'll get with Agincare:

  • Fully funded training and apprenticeships
  • Blue Light Card (discounts in shops and restaurants)

What we need from you:

  • A reassuring presence who can build trust over time
  • Ability to follow clear routines and care plans in detail
  • Experience supporting people with learning disabilities is desirable but not essential - full training provided
  • Willingness to work in partnership with family and colleagues to ensure consistency
  • For day shifts, a full clear driving license is desirable but not essential

What your role will include:
