Role Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Support Worke r to join our team at Shelton Care Limited - Richmond Mews, Stoke onTrent

Richmond Mews is a residential support homeproviding24-hour nursing and personal care for individuals with learningdisabilities ,autistic people, and other complex needs. A dedicated teamof nurses and support workers strive to provide a safe and stimulatingenvironment, where self-help skills are actively encouraged, empowering theopportunity to live a fulfilling life in the heart of a community.

You will work with young adults who have complexneeds. We are looking for a respectful and caring individual who canpassionately support our young adults to fulfil their potential. This is asometimes challenging role but one with huge rewards.

Responsibilities
  • You will build positive relationships with people by listening, discussing, and then planning goals and ambitions together.
  • You will help to plan their daily tasks and assist with practical activities such as cooking, cleaning and running errands.
  • You will assist with personal care, which may include support with eating and administering medication.
  • You will help to plan and participate in any exciting days out they wish to enjoy.
  • You will make a positive impact on someone's life by supporting them to become more independent wherever possible.
Qualifications
  • A caring attitude, with a passion for supporting others and a motivation to see them achieve goals.
  • A team player, able to work effectively with other colleagues.
  • Resilience to keep going at difficult times and the confidence to ask for support if needed.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
