Job summary

Community Integrated Care is seeking passionate support workers in Skelmersdale to help people live their best lives. You will spend your shift with the same person, delivering person-centred support and building meaningful connections. A driver with a Full UK license is required.

We are a diverse and vibrant group of eight people aged 18 to 44, each with our own interests, goals, and aspirations, located in WN8 postal code (Skelmersdale, Wigan).

We all have different strengths and support needs, ranging from one-to-one support to core support. With the right support, we enjoy living as independently as possible, managing our homes, accessing our community, developing life skills, and making choices about how we live our lives.

Our support is tailored to us as individuals, helping us understand information, communicate our views, and achieve the things that matter most to us.

Our dedicated team is highly trained in areas including medication, moving and positioning, epilepsy, ligature awareness, and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), ensuring we receive safe, responsive, and person-centred support every day.

What You’ll Be Doing

We currently have five staff members on shift during the day. In emergency situations, we can safely operate with a minimum of three staff members, although this would mean providing only essential support.

During the night, there is one support worker on duty to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the people we support.

We operate a range of shifts, with start times between 8:00am and 10:00am. Shifts finish either between 3:00pm and 4:00pm or between 10:00pm and 11:00pm.

You will need to ne a driver with a Full UK Manual License for this role.
