Job summary

1st Homecare is seeking compassionate Support Workers to cover North Ayrshire. You'll help vulnerable adults at home, with tasks from personal care to meal prep and companionship, on flexible Full-Time, Part-Time, or Bank/Relief shifts.

We offer training, PVG checks, mileage at 30p per mile, 28 days’ holiday pro-rata, and a supportive, values-led team focused on quality care across the region.

Qualifications

• No prior care experience required.
• Willingness to complete training and PVG check.
• Able to work on a rota including alternate weekends.

Shift Options

We offer a variety of shift patterns to help you balance work with your lifestyle:

• Full-Time:7:00am – 2:00pm and 3:30pm – 10:00pm (with a break between)
• Part-Time:Morning (7:00am – 2:00pm) or Evening (3:30pm – 10:00pm)
• Bank/Relief:Flexible, ad-hoc shifts based on your availability (submitted monthly)

About the Role

As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing essential care and support to people in their own homes. You’ll support individuals with a variety of daily living tasks, including:

• Personal care and hygiene
• Meal preparation and serving
• Medication prompts and administration
• Catheter care
• Companionship and emotional support
