Job summary

Voyage Care at Broadway Place in Peterborough is recruiting a care role to support individuals with learning disabilities and mental health needs, helping them build confidence and independence.

The position requires caring, resilient individuals who can follow PBS plans, support daily living, and respond calmly during distressing situations. It includes lone working with shifts across days and nights, and offers enhanced pay for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous care experience or PBS familiarity is advantageous.
• Ability to follow individual PBS plans and maintain consistency.

At Broadway Place, you’ll support people with learning disabilities, mental health concerns and complex behaviours to build confidence, develop independence and live life their way.

The Role

Service: Broadway Place
Location: Peterborough
Hours: Monday–Sunday | 8am–3pm | 3pm–10pm | Nights: 10pm–8am
Pay: £12.84ph, rising to £14.34ph with overtime and evening/weekend enhancements (T&Cs apply)

Your Role

• Support people with learning disabilities and mental health needs
• Build trusting relationships through patience and consistency
• Follow individual Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans to
• understand triggers, recognise needs and promote positive outcomes
• Respond calmly and consistently when people experience distress
• Support personal care, daily routines and independent living skills
• Encourage community involvement, hobbies and personal goals
• Help people feel safe, heard, respected and valued

This role includes lone working, so you’ll need to work confidently and independently, follow support plans and procedures, and know when to seek guidance.
