Everything you do matters
From the moment you open the door and enter one of our services, you become something more than you once were. You enter a place our young people call home, where a simple grin can brighten a day, listening can save and shape lives, and being punctual and present has a significant impact.
Walking through the door at Cambian means directly influencing the futures of the young people in our care. Asking “how was school?” is more than a routine; it’s about stability, genuine interest, and listening. It helps break barriers, unlock confidence, and shows that they are safe and valued.
Our Residential Care Workers are crucial to the development of our young residents. Challenges will arise, with lows and highs, but every step forward is a reason to celebrate. A simple “well done” can make a difference!
Our homes accommodate young people aged 8-18 from diverse backgrounds, with varying social, emotional, and mental health needs. Our goal is to create the best outcomes, helping each young person reach their full potential.
The days can be long but rewarding
You will make a genuine daily difference, ensuring minimal disruption to their lives and filling their days with meaningful interactions that others may overlook. Your responsibilities include helping them get ready for the day—whether for school or a trip to the park—maintaining a homely environment, assisting with homework, or preparing dinner. Evenings and weekends are for fun activities like gaming, board games, or trips to the cinema.
While paperwork and planning are part of the role, supporting our young people is never boring. The days may be long, but time flies, and your work truly matters.
Our appreciation for you
