Join Our Team as a Support Worker

Exeter & Exmouth, Devon

Salary:

£12.30 per hour plus benefits

Hours:

16 hours per week, must have weekend availability

Contract:

Part-time, permanent

Driving Requirement:

A valid full UK manual driving license is essential

  • Autism and Learning Disabilities
  • Complex Care
  • Epilepsy
  • Full UK Drivers License

We're looking for individuals to join our team who can stay calm under pressure, who are enthusiastic and proactive, and who can handle behaviours that others might find challenging.

What will you be doing?

As a Support Worker, you'll be more than just providing support – you'll be a key part of someone's journey towards living their best life. Your responsibilities include:

  • Daily Care & Support: Assisting with personal care, meal preparation, medication, and daily tasks.
  • Building Relationships: Getting to know the individuals you support, understanding their needs, and helping them live independently.
  • Empowering Independence: Supporting personal goals and encouraging creative exploration.
  • Social Engagement: Supporting participation in activities like holidays, social events, hobbies, and outings.
  • Respect & Dignity: Ensuring individuals and their families are treated with respect, dignity, and equality.

Who you will be supporting?

You will support one adult male in a wheelchair who is highly active and enjoys engaging with the community, going to the beach, picnics, pubs, gyms, and participating in hobbies such as photography, drama, arts and crafts, cooking, and socialising with friends.
