At Havencare, we value Transparency, Quality, and Engagement, and seek outstanding people who align with these values.
We are seeking reliable, compassionate, and enthusiastic Support Workers to assist O in his own home in Paignton and out in the community. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in O’s life through engagement and support.
O is a friendly and active individual who uses a wheelchair but can transfer independently. He enjoys community outings, especially by car, so a driver’s license is essential for his support worker.
He loves spending time outdoors and in the garden. He attends hydrotherapy weekly; therefore, support workers should be comfortable in water and able to swim.
O is non-verbal, living with autism, hearing, and vision impairments. Support workers should have experience with non-verbal communication strategies and understanding autism. Patience, consistency, and a person-centred approach are essential.
He requires full assistance with personal care and daily tasks. Support workers should be confident and experienced in providing respectful, high-quality personal care.
