Job summary

Changing Lives is a charity delivering housing and homelessness services based in Southmoor, Durham. We are seeking an enthusiastic Support Worker to join our professional team and help young people aged 16-21 flourish and overcome the interconnected challenges they face.

You will work within a 24-hour supported accommodation setting, providing compassionate, practical support and enabling residents to move towards a brighter future.

About the Service - Housing & Homelessness Services

A safe home is the solid base from which you build your life. We support people who are experiencing homelessness, or at risk of becoming homeless, as well as providing specialist accommodation and outreach services for rough sleepers, veterans, survivors of domestic abuse, women and young people.

Accommodation to us doesn’t just mean a roof over your head and shelter from the elements. It needs to be a welcoming and flourishing environment, offering opportunities for all those we support to feel comfortable and develop. The project is a 24 hour supported accommodation service based in Southmoor - Durham and we are looking for an enthusiastic Support Worker to join an enthusiastic and professional team. We support young people aged 16-21 to flourish and to work to overcome the interconnected problems that lead them into accessing our services.
