Job summary

Voyage Care is seeking a Female Support Worker for our residential service in Axminster. You will help residents gain independence in daily living, assist with personal care and encourage community engagement in a warm, supportive environment.

Shifts include early and late rotations; driving licence is preferred. We offer enhanced pay for evenings and weekends, overtime rates, flexible pay options, and a range of staff benefits. No two days are the same here.

Qualifications

• Caring, hands-on approach to supporting people.
• Ability to help individuals gain independence and participate in daily activities.
• Experience with Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.

Job description

Female Support Worker – Musbury - £13.56 ph base rate (up to £15.06 ph including enhancements)

Typical Shifts are: Monday - Sunday 08:00-20:30 and 20:30 - 08:00

As a Support Worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people!

Our residential service in Axminster is a traditional farmhouse, ten minutes away from the Jurassic coast. It has a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! You’ll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. One day you could be out with the people we support shopping, sailing, swimming, the next you could be unwinding with them watching films, arts and crafts or going to the cinema.

We’re interested in our Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Support Workers should ideally hold a full UK driving license, be resilient, flexible and composed in their approach, have experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice as well as experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviour's of distress, mental health conditions, autism and people who have experienced trauma.
