Job summary

Cygnet in Macclesfield is seeking a Specialist Day Support Worker to provide enhanced care for adults with autism and learning disabilities at Broughton Lodge. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver person-centered support in a specialist residential setting.

Shifts are days, 8am–8pm, with a rotating pattern: Week 1 four on, three off; Week 2 three on, four off. Pay starts at £13.45/hr, rising to £13.75/hr at 3 months and £14.00/hr at 18 months, plus NHS-style benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in caring for adults with autism and learning disabilities.
• Confident communicator and team player.
• Commitment to safeguarding and DBS checks.

Responsibilities

• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach.
• Deliver specialist support interventions alongside a clinical team.
• Provide guidance and emotional support to service users.
• Adapt help to individuals' specific needs.
• Assist with medical and welfare needs and report as required.

Join Our Team as aSpecialist Day Support Worker! Are you a confident Support Worker driven by a passion for delivering exceptional care in a specialist enhanced support environment? You'll work 42 hours a weekdays only, making a profound difference in the lives of adults with autism and learning disabilities at Broughton Lodge, a specialist enhanced residential service for individuals who may present challenging behaviours. At Broughton Lodge, we aim to provide a safe, comfortable and effective environment for those in our care, promoting independence and community integration. On site we have a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) who assist and support us to provide outcome based care and support pathways. Depending on the individuals level of need, we have 3 different areas within the service offering different levels of support, including support for young men and women leaving an educational provision.
