Job summary

Voyage-Care is seeking a dedicated Support Worker for our Lowestoft service. This is a full and part time role (22.5-35 hours) with shifts 7am-2:30pm, 2:30pm-10pm and 10pm-8am including sleep-ins, offering £13.89–£14.89 per hour with overtime and evening/weekend enhancements.

You will help people gain independence, teach life skills, support with personal care, and encourage community involvement within a friendly, motivated team.

Qualifications

  • Must have caring, experienced, hands-on approach.
  • Experience with Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice.
  • Experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support including trauma.

Responsibilities

As a support worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people!

Our supported living service in Bradwell is a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! You’ll enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. One day you could be out with the people we support in the local area or on trips , the next you could be unwinding with them doing activities of both the choice in service.

This is an amazing role for someone who is looking to really make a difference to someone's life and to help them grow in confidence and independence so that they meet their goals, whether this be making dinner by themselves or learning a new skill!

We’re interested in our Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Support Workers should be resilient, flexible and composed in their approach, have experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice as well as experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviour's of distress, mental health conditions, autism, potential forensic histories and people who may have experienced trauma.
