Job summary

Voyage Care in Lowestoft is seeking caring, experienced Support Workers to help people gain independence in daily life within our Bradwell service. You will support with personal care, encourage community access, and participate in activities as part of a dynamic team.

Typical shifts include 7am-2:30pm, 2:30pm-10pm, and 10pm-8am sleep-ins; full and part-time roles available (22.5–35 hours). Benefits include enhanced pay for evenings and weekends, overtime premiums, Wagestream access, Blue Light

Qualifications

• Experience in care settings or similar environments preferred.
• Ability to follow care plans and support Positive Behaviour Support principles.
• Willingness to work shifts including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins.

Responsibilities

• Encourage social activities and community involvement for individuals supported.

As a support worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people!

Our supported living service in Bradwell is a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! You'll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. One day you could be out with the people we support in the local area or on trips , the next you could be unwinding with them doing activities of their choice in service.

We're interested in our Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Support Workers should be resilient, flexible and composed in their approach, have experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice as well as experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviour's of distress, mental health conditions, autism, potential forensic histories and people who may have experienced trauma.
