Job description

Could you help someone live life on their own terms?

Here at Sense, we support people with complex disabilities to live the life they choose. We're looking for Support Workers to join our small, close-knit residential team at 54 Monks Dyke Road in Louth, supporting five people with complex needs to live full and meaningful lives.

These are permanent roles with part-time contracts, working either 30 or 16 hours per week, paying £13.00 per hour. Whether you're helping someone cook a meal they love, encouraging them to get out into the community, or simply being a steady, trusted presence at home, everything you do will be about making life richer and more independent for the people you support. No two days are the same, and that's what makes this role so rewarding.

Please note: if you live outside of Louth, you will need access to your own vehicle for early and late shifts as public transport in the area is very limited.

We are looking for someone who is:
  • Warm, caring, and empathetic
  • Positive, with a can-do attitude
  • Reliable and consistent
  • Passionate about enhancing other people's lives
  • Willing to attend training and develop in their role
This role might include supporting people with:
  • Everyday tasks like cooking and cleaning
  • Personal care and hygiene
  • Finances and medication
  • Getting out into the community for activities and social events
  • Their social life and leisure interests
  • 24 days’ holiday + bank holidays; increasing with length of service
  • Matched pension contributions up to 5%.
  • Free life assurance
  • Cashback and discounts on high street brands (including 10% off Sense shops)
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Travel season ticket loans
  • Free DBS check (if required)
  • Access to 100+ online and face-to-face training courses (including the Care Certificate)
  • Free access to the Wisdom wellbeing app

If you’re looking for a role that’s active, meaningful, and full of heart; we’d love to welcome you to the team.
