Job summary

CareTech is recruiting for Support Workers to join Oakworth House in Keighley, supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs. Roles are permanent with 37.5 hours per week on a rota, including evenings and weekends.

We welcome both new and experienced carers. Enhanced DBS is required and CareTech offers extensive training and development across a range of benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis.
• Experience supporting adults with Autism, Learning Disabilities and Complex Needs.
• Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech).
• Good communication and written skills.
• Drivers licence preferred but not essential.

• Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans
• Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required
• Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing
• Support activities, appointments, and community access
• Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team
• Work a rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins

About the Service – Oakworth House

Oakworth House is a registered residential care service, supporting adults aged 18+ in a safe, structured, and supportive environment. The service promotes independence, choice, and wellbeing through tailored, person-centred support.

Service User Interests

• Arts and crafts
• Days out such as Theme Parks, Meals out, Social activities, Christmas markets etc.
• Holidays and short breaks
• Walks in the local park and community
• Cooking and baking to develop life skills

The Role

You will:

• Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans
• Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required
• Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing

• Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team
• Work a rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking people who are caring, patient, and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach. You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable.
