The Role

As a Personal Care Assistant, you'll be part of our client's dedicated support team, providing essential care in their home. You will be employed by HomeCareDirect but focus solely on supporting this client.

This position is for 16hrs a week, working on Thursdays and Fridays, 8am to 4pm. During school holidays, you will work Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.

About The Client & Your Responsibilities

Our client is a young lady who needs social support to attend activities in the community. She enjoys animals, music, art, swimming, forest school, and shopping. We seek a friendly, supportive support worker to accompany her and provide companionship.

You will assist with personal care, including support with bathing and hair washing, and help prepare meals, sharing mealtimes to promote a warm atmosphere.

Traveling into the community is required; therefore, a driver with access to their own vehicle is preferred.

Training & Support

We provide comprehensive, paid training (to CQC standards) before your start date, covering:

  • Full induction
  • Safeguarding Adults
  • First Aid / Food Hygiene / Health & Safety
  • Client-specific training (to be confirmed)

All training must be completed prior to start and is paid at £14.00 per hour.
