Mencap in the Conwy area is looking for a dedicated Support Worker to help people with learning disabilities live full, independent lives. This role involves assisting with daily activities and providing emotional support to promote wellbeing.
Two 6-hour shifts per week are preferred, with flexibility for additional shifts across our services. A driving licence and access to a vehicle are desirable; Welsh language skills are a bonus. This is a part-time, in-person position in the UK.
We are looking for someone to come on board for 12 hours per week to support people in the Conwy area, shifts can be discussed at interview but ideally we are looking for someone who can commit to 2 x 6 hours shifts per week. with the option to pick up other shifts in our other services in the area as and when the need arises.
Whilst we are looking for a 12 hour post for this service we understand that sometimes people are unable to commit to regular hours, but still want to offer support. This is also fine as we are always on the look out for relief staff who can work with us on an ad‑hoc basis to suit their schedule.
