Job summary

Jupiter Recruitment is partnering with a residential children's care home in the Leicester area to recruit a committed Support Worker. You will provide person-centred care in a 3:1 or 4:1 setting, supporting with daily living, personal care and mobility while upholding dignity.

The role is permanent full-time, 36–48 hours per week, with day and night shifts. NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care is desirable; you will join a team that values compassion, patience and clear communication.

Qualifications

• NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care is desirable.
• Experience in complex care or residential care environments is preferred.
• Strong communication and compassionate approach to support.

Responsibilities

• Provide 3:1 or 4:1 person-centred support within the home.
• Assist with personal care, mobility, medication and daily living needs while maintaining dignity.
• Provide emotional support and companionship, encouraging independence and individual choice.
• Support with behaviours that may be challenging, following care plans and positive behaviour approaches.
• Monitor wellbeing, maintain accurate care records and follow safeguarding procedures.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed Support Worker to a residential children's care home in the Leicester area. You will be working for one of UK's leading children's healthcare providers

We are looking for people who genuinely want to make a positive difference to the life of the individual they support. The right person will be patient, understanding and willing to build a trusting relationship, while being there for the individual through both their good and more challenging days

As a Support Worker your key duties include:

• Provide 3:1 or 4:1 person-centred support within the home
• Assist with personal care, mobility, medication and daily living needs while maintaining dignity and privacy
• Provide emotional support and companionship, encouraging independence and individual choice
• Support with behaviours that may challenge, following agreed care plans and positive behaviour support approaches
• Monitor wellbeing, maintain accurate care records and follow safeguarding procedures to ensure safe, consistent care

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

• Previous experience in complex care, homecare, supported living, residential care, nursing care or a similar environment is desirable
• Experience supporting individuals with complex care or support needs
• A caring, compassionate and patient approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build professional and trusting relationships with individuals and their families

To be considered for this position you must hold an NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care - Desirable + experience working in a similar role and setting

The successful Support Worker will receive an excellent salary of £27,144 - £36,192 per annum. This exciting position is a permanent full time role working 36-48 hours a week on days & nights. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
