Job summary

Jupiter Recruitment is seeking a committed Support Worker for a residential children's care home in the Kingston upon Hull area. The role focuses on providing compassionate, person-centred care and support to individuals with complex needs.

You will work 36–48 hours per week, with day and night shifts. NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care is desirable, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide 3:1 or 4:1 person-centred support within the home.

• Provide emotional support and companionship, encouraging independence and individual choice.
• Support with behaviours that may challenge, following care plans and positive behaviour support approaches.
• Monitor wellbeing, maintain accurate care records and follow safeguarding procedures.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed Support Worker to a residential children's care home in the Kingston upon Hull area. You will be working for one of UK's leading children's healthcare providers

We are looking for people who genuinely want to make a positive difference to the life of the individual they support. The right person will be patient, understanding and willing to build a trusting relationship, while being there for the individual through both their good and more challenging days

As a Support Worker your key duties include:

• Provide 3:1 or 4:1 person-centred support within the home
• Assist with personal care, mobility, medication and daily living needs while maintaining dignity and privacy
• Provide emotional support and companionship, encouraging independence and individual choice
• Support with behaviours that may challenge, following agreed care plans and positive behaviour support approaches
• Monitor wellbeing, maintain accurate care records and follow safeguarding procedures to ensure safe, consistent care

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

• Previous experience in complex care, homecare, supported living, residential care, nursing care or a similar environment is desirable
• Experience supporting individuals with complex care or support needs
• A caring, compassionate and patient approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build professional and trusting relationships with individuals and their families

**To be considered for this position you must hold an NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care - Desirable + experience working in a similar role and setting**

The successful Support Worker will receive an excellent salary of £27,144 - £36,192 per annum. This exciting position is a permanent full time role working 36-48 hours a week on days & nights. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
