Job summary

Brook Street in Leicester is seeking a Female Support Worker to assist an individual with Autism and Learning Disabilities moving into their own bungalow. The role focuses on promoting independence and building routines in the home and local community, with shifts 11:00am to 5:00pm and potential for additional hours.

This is a community-based, 2:1 support arrangement; no personal care or medication administration is required.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting individuals with Autism and/or Learning Disabilities is desirable.
  • Calm, patient and person-centred approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable, flexible and committed to delivering high-quality support.
  • Local candidates preferred.
  • Full UK driving licence advantageous but not essential.

Female Support Worker

Location: Leicester (LE postcode)
Hours: 11:00am to 5:00pm, with potential for additional hours
Support Model: 2:1 Support
Driver: Preferred but not essential

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Female Support Worker to support an individual with Autism and Learning Disabilities who is moving into their own bungalow and beginning the transition to more independent living.

This is a community-based support role focused on promoting independence, building confidence, and helping the individual establish a positive routine within their home and local community. The person you will support is relatively independent, enjoys being active, and likes spending time out in the community.

No personal care or medication administration is required.

Additional Opportunities

There may be opportunities for additional hours as the package develops, including:

  • Sleep-in shifts
  • Waking nights (8:00pm to 8:00am)
  • Additional daytime support hours
