Job summary

Choices For Life is seeking a Support Worker to provide compassionate care to adults with learning disabilities including autism and challenging behaviours, based in Coalville, UK.

You will assist with personal care and daily activities, implement behaviour management strategies, and work with health professionals to ensure holistic, safe care. A valid driving licence and weekend availability are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in adult social care or transferable experience.
• Knowledge of first aid procedures and ability to respond to emergencies.
• Understanding of behaviour-management techniques for complex needs.
• Valid driving licence (age 21+). Ability to operate company vehicles.
• Willingness to work weekends (usually 1 in 4 weeks).
• Physical ability to handle/push wheelchairs and support users.
• Available for 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00–16:00.

• Collaborate with health professionals, e.g., nurses, for holistic care.
• Ensure a safe, nurturing, and welcoming environment.

Requirements

• Experience in adult social care or transferable experience (e.g., gardening, hairdressing).
• Knowledge of first aid procedures and ability to respond to emergencies.
• Understanding of behaviour‑management techniques for complex needs.
• Valid driving licence (age 21+). Ability to operate company vehicles.
• Willingness to work your share of weekends (usually 1 in 4 weeks).
• Physical ability to handle/push wheelchairs and support users.
• Available for 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00–16:00.
