Job summary

Cartrefi Cymru Co-operative in Pembrokeshire is seeking a Female Support Worker to help people we support live fulfilling lives in the community. You’ll empower individuals to make everyday choices and participate in activities that build independence.

No prior experience is required as full training is provided. The role includes weekend and sleep-in shifts, a driving licence and access to your own car for community transport, with mileage paid.

As a Female Support Worker in Pembrokeshire, you’ll help make the everyday remarkable for the people we support.

We are dedicated to supporting those with learning disabilities to live a fulfilled and enriched life in the community, as a Support Worker, you can play a vital role in this.

We have both part time and full time hours, please speak to us about the hours you are looking to do. Your shift pattern will include weekends and sleep-ins

Salary

£13.59 per hour and our sleep-in shifts at £60 per night and our travel expenses is paid 55p per mile

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you’ll actively support individuals in making their own choices and set their own goals — whether it’s everyday decisions like what to wear, eat, or do, or something bigger such as where to live, how to manage their finances, or where to go on holiday.

As a trusted Support Worker, you'll empower people to follow through on these choices, including taking part in structured activities that build confidence and develop new skills. You’ll also offer practical support to help them meet responsibilities like paying bills, maintaining their homes, being good neighbours, and staying connected with friends and family.

Your goal is to make everyday remarkable through enhancing well-being and focusing on the small, meaningful moments that bring joy and purpose. By offering this kind of person-centred support every day, this truly is a fun and rewarding role for the right person.

• have afull driving licence - essentialfor transporting individuals to appointments and activities
• have access to your own car and happy to use this for transporting people we support to and from activities as well as obtaining business insurance for your vehicle for which we pay 55p per mile to cover this
• Are Female (this is a genuine occupational requirement due to the nature of the role)
