Job summary

National Care Group is recruiting for Support Workers to join our team at Apple House - New Milton, working 40 hours per week at a rate of £12.86 per hour. You will support young adults with complex needs, help plan daily tasks, and participate in days out to promote social inclusion.

This role requires a caring attitude, excellent listening and communication skills, and a team-focused approach. Paid training and opportunities for qualifications are provided within an inclusive culture.

Service: Apple House - New Milton

We are currently recruiting for Support Workers to join our team at

Summerwood

At Apple House, we encourage the people we support to take an active role in their lives by helping them carry out daily tasks. To develop confidence and promote social inclusion, we help everyone seek new activities and experiences both locally and in the wider community.

We offer a range of our own activities, including pet therapy, visiting owls and dogs, BBQs, picnics, and parties, and we also hold a variety of events. Everyone has a choice of where they would like to go and what they'd like to do, including on annual holidays and weekend breaks. A break away offers people supported the opportunity to interact with new friends in new surroundings and to help develop their social skills.

Support Worker

Pay rate: £12.86 per hour

Working Hours: 40 hours per week

The role of a National Care Group Support Worker

You will work with young adults who have complex needs. We are looking for a respectful and caring individual who can passionately support our young adults to fulfil their potential. This is a sometimes challenging role but one with huge rewards.

  • You will build positive relationships with people by listening, discussing, and then planning goals and ambitions together.
  • You will help to plan their daily tasks and assist with practical activities such as cooking, cleaning and running errands.
  • You will assist with personal care, which may include support with eating and administering medication.
