Job summary

Community Integrated Care is seeking a Bank/Casual Support Worker in Glasgow. The role offers meaningful work with an award-winning charity focused on improving lives, with a supportive leadership structure and a strong emphasis on person-centered care.

You will spend shifts with the people we support, engaging in social activities, day trips and community outings, while maintaining their wellbeing and independence.

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive care to individuals with learning disabilities, autism or hearing/visual impairments.
• Work early/late shifts (7am–2:30pm and longer shifts) and some weekend or sleepover shifts as required.

Here, we currently support 4 gentlemen who share a ground floor flat in the lively west end of Glasgow. The property is in a quiet side street off the main road with parking available behind it.

In the past, the people we support have faced a lot of challenges because of their learning disabilities, Autism and hearing/visual impairments but this hasn’t stopped them from enjoying life! They are all fun loving and welcoming, mobile and enjoy socialising in some of the same activities as each other, such as going out on day trips, watching football, rugby and tennis, day trips away and visiting local cafes.

Our Staff Team Are Very Supportive And Have Experience From Supporting Others In The Past. As Well As The Activities The People We Support Enjoy, Our Team Also Supports With

• Medication
• Cooking
• Assisting with personal care when required
• Maintaining the homes and finances of the people we support

The shift pattern in this service will include early and late shifts, 7am-2.30pm aswell as long shifts and there will be some weekend work required on a rota basis. In addition, there will a requirement to work some sleepover shifts in this service.
