Job summary

Community Integrated Care is seeking a Bank/ Casual Support Worker in the Flimby area to assist vulnerable individuals in their own homes. You will provide person-centered care, support with personal needs, medication administration and home management, including cooking, cleaning and budgeting.

The role may involve day and waking-night shifts across Flimby, Cockermouth and High Harrington. Ideal candidates have a full UK driving licence (with own vehicle) for commuting between sites and a

• Must be available for a mix of day and night shifts and to work across Flimby, Cockermouth and High Harrington services.
• Commitment to promoting independence and wellbeing of those supported.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals to live their daily lives in their own homes.

Who you'll be supporting & more about the role:

• Working closely with the Service Leader and Support Worker Team, you will be responsible for supporting vulnerable individuals in their day to day lives. Each person we support is unique, so the support you provide will be person-centred and will focus on achieving the best lives possible for each individual.

Shifts and contract requirements

• Our Shifts: 08:00 - 20:00 | 20:00 - 08:00 (Waking Nights) Shift Requirement: We are ideally recruiting for a mix of day shifts, with occasional nights. Staff should be available to work across our Flimby, Cockermouth and High Harrington services.
• Contract: Bank
• Driving License Required? Yes, with own vehicle (for commuting only - you will not be required to use your vehicle during work hours)

What You'll Be Doing

• You will be supporting amazing individuals to live their daily lives in their own homes, in the way they want to live them.
• Providing support in a wide variety of ways:
• Supporting with personal care
• Medication Administration
• Home management, including support with cooking, cleaning, shopping and budget management
• Daily activities - anything and everything the people we support like to do is something you might provide support with!
• Providing support with walks along the harbour, going for pub lunches, shopping trips and having a fun time.
