Job summary

Mysa Care is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to provide person-centred, needs-led support for adults with learning and/or physical disabilities at Blue Cedars and Tall Oaks in Farnborough, Hampshire. The role is 39 hours per week with up to 4 sleeps per month at £45 per sleep, supporting residents in daily living and community activities.

You will work to promote independence, dignity and choice, assisting with daily living tasks and maintaining accurate records.

  • To effectively work with your colleagues to promote the health, independence, choice respect, dignity, rights, safety and welfare of the residents at all times. To act in a professional manner as a representative of the Company at all times.
  • To support the Home Manager, Deputy Manager and Senior Support Workers in the smooth running of the home.
  • To work as part of a team with all your colleagues.
  • To provide personal care to all clients, promoting independence and respecting their dignity at all times.
  • To complete all daily, weekly and monthly records and documentation as required.
  • To comply with the residents care plans, risk assessments and guidelines at all times.

Job description

We are looking for a Support Worker to join our team and provide a person centred, needs led service to adults with a learning and/or physical disability at both Blue Cedars and Tall Oaks, Farnborough, Hampshire, 39 hours per week plus up to 4 sleeps a month (£45 per sleep)


As a Support Worker will be required to assist with all activities of daily living and support the residents to participate in a range of activities within the home and community. We use a person-centred approach focusing on supporting people to make their own choices, follow their own interests and gain independence. We empower people to choose how they want to live their life.


Main purpose of the role of Support Worker

About the Services

Tall Oaks and Blue Cedars are in close proximity of each other in Farnborough and therefore this role would require support at either home.


Tall Oaks and Blue Cedars both provide residential support and accommodation for up to six adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), autism, sensory impairments and complex needs.


Staff at both services have shown proven effectiveness in contributing to the quality of life of the residents, whilst maintaining a comfortable and friendly environment.
