Role Description

Join Our Team as a Support Worker

Location: Exeter & Exmouth, Devon

Salary: £12.30 per hour plus benefits

Hours: 16 hours per week, must have weekend availability

Contract: Part-time, permanent

Driving Requirement: A valid full UK manual driving license is essential

We're looking for individuals to join our team who can stay calm under pressure, are enthusiastic, proactive, and can handle challenging behaviours.

What will you be doing?
  • Daily Care & Support: Helping with personal care, meal preparation, medication, and other daily tasks.
  • Building Relationships: Getting to know the people you support, understanding their needs, and helping them live life on their own terms.
  • Empowering Independence: Assisting with personal goals, from daily activities to long-term aspirations, and encouraging creative exploration.
  • Social Engagement: Supporting activities like holidays, social events, hobbies, and outings to the beach, gym, or community events.
  • Respect & Dignity: Ensuring individuals and their families are treated with respect, dignity, and equality.
Who you will be Supporting

You will support one adult male in a wheelchair who is very active and enjoys engaging with the community, including going to the beach, picnics, pubs, gym, coffee outings, hobbies like photography, drama, arts and crafts, cooking, and socialising with friends.
