Job summary

Dimensions Ltd in Broadstone is seeking an experienced Support Worker to assist a gentleman in his late 30s with profound learning disabilities, autism and epilepsy. You will provide specialist 2:1 support to help him live a full and enjoyable life while safely meeting his complex health needs.

You’ll handle personal care, clinical tasks, moving and handling with hoists, and support him to access activities and the community, working closely with his family who are actively involved.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with complex health needs and learning disabilities.
• Driver licence: FULL UK/EU Manual Driving Licence is essential.
• Able to provide personal care and use hoists safely.

Responsibilities

• Provide 2:1 support and assist with daily living activities.
• Deliver clinical/health-related support (CPAP, PEG feeding, suctioning, oxygen therapy).
• Safely move and handle using hoists and equipment.
• Facilitate access to activities and community; liaise with family.

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Support Worker to join a dedicated team supporting a gentleman in his late 30's with Profound Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Epilepsy.

This is a highly rewarding role where you'll provide specialist 2:1 support, helping him live a full and enjoyable life while ensuring his complex health needs are safely met.

You’ll support him with:

• Personal care and all aspects of daily living
• Clinical and health-related support, including CPAP, PEG feeding, suctioning, and oxygen therapy (experience desirable)
• Safe moving and handling using hoists and specialised equipment
• Accessing activities and the community
• Working closely with his family, who play an active role in his life

• Hydrotherapy sessions
• Theatre shows and live performances
• Spending time outdoors and enjoying nature

Shifts

Alternative weekends required, with a variety of shift patterns including:

• 7:00am - 10:00pm
• 7:00am - 2:30pm
• 2:30pm - 10:00pm

About You

We're looking for someone with experience supporting people with complex health needs and learning disabilities who is:

• Confident providing personal care
• Experienced with hoisting and manual handling
• Comfortable supporting individuals with high levels of dependency
• Calm, patient, and attentive to people who do not use words to communicate
• Passionate about delivering person-centred support
