Job summary

Radis Community Care is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join the Ditchburn Place team in Cambridge. The role involves a mix of morning and late shifts, with over 25 hours per week and occasional weekend work.

You will support elderly residents in maintaining independence, including mobility assistance and personal care, within an Extra Care environment. You will engage residents in social and recreational activities, promoting choice, dignity, and respect.

Radis Community Care are looking for a Support worker to join the Radis Team at Ditchburn Place, Cambridge.

This will be a mix of morning and late shifts, alternate weekends. 25 + hours per week, plus sickness and annual leave cover.

At this present time, we are unable to consider Sponsorship for this role.

About the role

As a Support Worker in our Extra Care Scheme, your primary responsibility is to assist elderly individuals who are experiencing physical frailty, helping them maintain as much independence as possible. This includes supporting people we support with restricted mobility by aiding them in moving safely to dining areas for meals, communal spaces for social engagement, and back to the privacy of their own rooms when requested.

The role will require you to assist people we support with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing. You will have the opportunity to take part in physical and mental stimulation by taking part in recreational and social activities with people, both individually and as a group.
