Job summary

Voyage Care in Leicester is seeking genuinely caring Support Workers to enhance the quality of life for the people we support. You will help individuals gain independence in daily living, within a dynamic team at Willowbrook ABI service in Leicester.

You will work with people who may have autism, ABI, and complex needs, following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice, while maintaining a warm, patient and proactive approach.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• Resilient, flexible and composed in approach.
• Experience with Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice.
• Experience working with individuals with autism, ABI, complex mental health needs or challenging behaviours.

Responsibilities

• Help people gain more independence in daily life.
• Assist with personal care and daily routines.
• Support in accessing local communities and activities.
• Engage in social activities, meals out, cinema, appointments.

We're on the hunt for genuinely caring, hands-on Support Workers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support. As a support worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people!

We're interested in our Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Support Workers should hold a full UK driving license, be resilient, flexible and composed in their approach, have experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice as well as experience working with individuals with autism, acquired brain injury, complex individuals with mental health needs, and challenging behaviours.

Our ABI (Acquired Brain Injury) service Willowbrook in Leicester is a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! You'll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. One day you could be out with the people we support in local restaurants and attending appointments, the next you could be unwinding with them playing video games, watching films or going to the cinema.
