Job summary

Walsingham Support in Doncaster is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to help adults with learning disabilities live life their way. You'll be trained and supported throughout to provide care and companionship in the community.

The role offers 30 hours per week with a starting hourly rate of £12.71 and a focus on person-centred care, daily living activities, and inclusive community participation.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Our first step once you have applied, is a brief values evaluation. It highlights the qualities that matter in our work and helps both of us see whether the role is a good fit.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Community & Outings: Accompanying the people we support on day trips, local outings, and attending essential appointments.
  • Personal Care: Providing compassionate support with all aspects of daily personal care.
  • Specialised Care: Supporting individuals with high-risk health needs, particularly around moving and handling, as well as specialised food and fluid guidelines.
Shift Patterns & Flexibility

This is a 30-hour per week permanent position. We operate on a rolling rota that is shared fairly across the team, which includes bank holidays and weekends:

  • Early Shift: 07:00 14:00
  • Late Shift: 14:00 21:00
  • Waking Night: 21:00 07:00 (as required)

Please note: You must be available to work any day of the week, including Sundays. If you rely on public transport, please ensure you can reliably commute for early, late, and Sunday shifts.

What We Are Looking For
  • A caring, reliable, and patient nature with a passion for supporting others.
  • Comfort and confidence in providing personal care and managing high-risk care needs (full training will be provided).
  • A full UK Driving Licence is desirable, but not essential.
